RAMZAN, THE BLESSED MONTH

RAMZAN, the blessed month. Ramadan also known as Ramzan. Ramzan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar, during which Muslims all around the world fast from dawn to sunset. Fasting during Ramzan is a time for muslims to engage in self-reflection, increased devotions and comes closer to Allah. The muslims avoid food and drink from dawn to sunset. Muslims use this time to reflect on their actions, behaviors and overall life choices. The month of Ramzan is an opportunity for the muslims for self-awareness and improvement. Fasting make a deeper connection with Allah through the recitations of the Quran, increased prayers. Muslims use RAMZAN as a time to seek guidance from Allah, asking strength and forgiveness. The act of fasting is not only physical but also spiritual, to purifying the soul.

ZAKAT AND SADAQAH

The Muslims give generously to those in need by donating things like Zakat and Sadaqah.

IFTAR ITEMS DISTRIBUTION

The food items like grain, wheat, milk, butter and other essentials things.They give Iftar items to those people who can’t afford. Iftar items like dates, fruits and water to help them with the breaking of the fast.

MEDICAL HELP

They give Medical Supplies to support individuals with limited access of health care.

DONATIONS

Donate in schools and educational platforms to help the children with some extra facilities. These donations include to the spirit of generosity during the holy month of Ramzan.

SPIRITUAL DEVOTION

During the month of Ramzan, the blessed month, muslims increased their prayers as a part of spiritiual and religious observance. The believers of Allah increased the recitations of Quran, aiming to complete the whole Quran in the holy month of Ramzan. Many muslims engaged in late-night prayer, known as Tahajjud, close to Allah through their worships. Muslims make Dua and dedicate more time to personal prayers, blessings for themselves, friends family and others, seeking guidance and forgiveness from Allah.

SHAB-E-QADR

Shab-E-Qadr, also known as The Night Of Power is significant event in Islam. Shia tradition holds the exact night of shab-e-qadr falls in the last ten nights of Ramzan, with emphasis on the 19th, 21st and 23rd nights. The special night of divine revelation Shab-E-Qadr is believed to be the night when the first of Quran revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) by the angel Gabriel. It is night of divine blessings. Shia muslims recall the action of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) on Shab-e-Qadr. Imam Ali (peace be upon him) was assigned by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to stay in his place on this night.

THE SPIRITUAL FINALE

The end of Ramzan, known as Eid-ul-Fitr, is a joyous festive occasion for the Muslims. After a month of fasting, prayers, self-reflection, the muslims comes together to celebrate. Muslims are gather in large congregations for special Eid prayers held in mosque. Before Eid prayers muslims are required to give a charity named, Zakat-al-Fitr. The homes are decorated and the families are gather to celebrate Eid. The older one’s give Eidi to younger one’s which is the most joyful part of Eid. Special meals and sweets are prepared for eid. It is customary for muslims to wear New clothes in eid. The ending of Ramzan with Eid-ul-Fitr is a time of celebration, love, unity and gratitude, bringing a sense of accomplishment and renewal to the muslim community.
